Well, if you haven't watched Neon Genesis Evangelion nor The End Evangelion, maybe you'll not that impressed.

Neon Genesis Evangelion

In the year 2015, the world is in chaos. There are monsters called “angel” that going to destroy the earth. The chaotic situation begins by the second impact. The first impact’s considered to be the Hiroshima and Nagasaki incident. The second impact takes place in the year 2000 (Thank God it didn’t really happen) when a giant, unidentified object comes crashing down on Antarctica which resulted the death of half of the world’s population.



According to the Dead Sea Scrolls, the angels would return to destroy the human race. So the human race created SEELE, an organization with almost unlimited amounts of funds. And NERV (which attached to UN), an organization which fights the angels with huge robots/machines called Evangelion. But not all can ride an Evangelion, only some gifted people called children could do it.

But somehow NERV and SEELE looks like hiding some scandals.

The Characters:

-Ikari Shinji. He is the 3rd child, pilot of the evangelion number 01. He is also Ikari Gendou (NERV commander)’s son. But he has a bad relationship with his father.

-Ayanami Rei. She is the 1st child, pilot of the evangelion number 00. Her expression seems cold and soulless. She is the most loyal person to Ikari Gendou. She never let anyone insults him. She uses to be Ikari Gendou’s tool.

-Asuka Langley Sohryu. She is the 2nd child, pilot of the evangelion number 02. She is half German, and half Japanese. She has a magnificent IQ. She has already graduated at a young age. Unlike Rei, she is very active and wild.

-Ikari Gendou. He is Shinji’s father and also NERV commander. He is definitely a mysterious person with complicated thought. He seems so cold and mean. But actually, he is a very caring person. He’s just lost.

-Katsuragi Misato. She works at the NERV as a captain. She used to baby sit Shinji. She loves beer^^

This anime is superb!! Even if you don’t like some kind of robotic anime, you’ll definitely love evangelion.

By the way, this anime is kind of deep and complicated. I myself needed 3 times to watch it before I understand the ending.

There are several Ending with some different stories/ending (but the same characters).

Overall rate: 4 stars! This anime is legendary. You definitely should watch this anime!

Lucky ☆ Star

Do you remember my last post? It’s about otaku. This anime will talk a lot about otaku. Actually in this anime there is only conversation. The characters will discuss about all unimportant trivial details (included every “phenomena” in anime or game) and analyze them with their limited logic. So it will be funny and stupid, we will also wondering why.

Since it is all conversation, I think I won’t give you a synopsis. I’ll just tell you their personality. And give you example of their conversation^^.

Characters:

-Izumi Konata. Konata is an athletic and energetic girl, but instead of joining sport club she decided to not join it, because if she joined it she will not be able to watch her favorite anime on TV. She is absolutely an anime, video game and manga otaku. She is very lazy. She never studies and always “invests” her time to play game. That makes her very good at playing video game. She never does her homework, but when she has to take an exam, she will get a good grade after studying all night long.

-Hiiragi Tsukasa. Tsukasa is actually a normal pure-hearted cute girl. But she is just as lazy as Konata. She always sleeps. But the difference is she will get a low grade because she is not good at studying. She is Kagami’s unidentical twin

-Hiiragi Kagami. Unlike Tsukasa, Kagami is very studious. She is also “black-hearted” compared to her sister.

-Takara Miyuki. Maybe she is the smartest among the others. She always answers the other’s questions calmly.

Now I tell you the example of their conversation.

Conversation 1:
-Konata: Hey Tsukasa, where do you start biting into a chocolate cornet?
-Tsukasa: Hmm.. From the head I suppose.
-Konata: I see. By the way, which one is the head?
-Tsukasa: I think it’s the narrow end.
-Konata: But I think it’s the wide end. So why do you think it’s the narrow one?
-Tsukasa: Let’s see. I think it’s because it looks like a seashell.
-Konata: I see. But I think it looks more like a caterpillar.
-Tsukasa: Caterpillar?! (;;-_-)
-Konata: Well, I think now seashell is a better image than caterpillar. So how do you eat strawberry cake? Do you eat the strawberry first or last?
-Tsukasa: I eat the strawberry last
-Konata: Hmm.. I eat the strawberry first
-Tsukasa: But sometimes I got too full and one of my families got the strawberry (;^_^)
-Konata: That’s why you should eat the strawberry first.

Conversation 2:
-Kagami: Konata, you should pay more attention to your social skill and play less game.
-Konata: Hohoho.. Despite it looks, I have friends more than 100. And I used to party every night with my friends. So I don’t have any problem with social skill.
-Kagami: Really?! Wow!
-Konata: Yes. I used to go to the tower and hunt monster with my friends.
-Kagami: So it’s a game after all. (#-_-)

Conversation 3:
Konata: Let’s take off your glasses.
Miyuki: Hm?
Konata: Hmm.. It doesn’t look like that. (;;-_-)
Miyuki: Hm?
Konata: In manga when a character with glasses ( @_@) takes off the glasses it would be like ( 3_3)
Miyuki: Sorry that I made you disappointed (;;^_^)
Konata: But I wonder why it is like that…



Overall rate: 3 stars.


If you tired with your daily life (or maybe worse: playing game all night long), I think this anime is a great comedy for refreshing (and maybe for eyes-opening for the otaku too).

Otaku

What does otaku means? Although in English or internationally otaku means anime or manga fan, it could actually mean a person who has obsession or interest to any certain topic or hobby.

For example, even a person who has the obsession in everything about military is actually an otaku too. So yes, maybe otaku refers to geek or nerd in English.

There are types of otaku:



-Anime otaku
-Manga otaku
-Pasokon (computer) otaku
-Gēmu (game) otaku
-Tetsudō otaku (metrophile)
- Gunji (military) otaku
-Etc.

So it doesn’t have to be anime-related topic.

But yes, otaku may have a negative meaning, especially when it’s said by non-otaku people. But somehow the otaku are rather proud calling them as otaku.

Well, I myself think it’s everybody’s choice what topic he will obsessed with.

But it would be different if that makes you isolated from the society.

So if you are anime otaku, I think it’s not so bad if you’re obsessed with anime. But please go out and play too. Keep communicating with the others!

It’s sunny outside. So, what are you doing sitting in front of the monitor?! Go out and play!

NANA

Lately I have been watching this Anime. I never thought that this is a good anime. And when I was browsing on veoh.com, I found many uploader of this anime. So I download it, because I think if there are so many uploader, this anime must be a great anime. And yes, this anime is very good.


Synopsis:

This anime tells about 2 girls named Nana. Komatsu “Hachi” Nana (She’s called “hachiko” because she’s being like the other Nana’s pet or dog) and Osaki Nana.





Hachi is a naïve and dependent cheerful girl who is always seeking for love and fall in love on the first sight. By the time she’s hurt by some guys, she will start fall in love again with another guy.

One day Hachi move to Tokyo, which is a big city, compared to her hometown, to start a new life and meet her boyfriend, Endo Shoji, who has moved to Tokyo first.

On the train she meets Nana, and start to make friend. Contrary to Hachi, Nana is a very independent serious girl with her pride.

Nana is a former band vocalist. She used to sing with her band, Black Stones or BLAST, in her hometown. But one day the bassist of the band, who is also her boyfriend, Honjou Ren, left the band to be the guitarist of a famous band in Tokyo known as “Trapnest”. That makes Nana and Ren broke up. Now she moves to Tokyo too to be a professional singer instead to meet Ren.

First Hachi thought that she will live together with her boyfriend, but Shoji insists her to live alone and independently. Then Hachi starts to find an apartment to live in. But accidentally Hachi and Nana are interested in the same apartment. So they decided to share apartment and live together.

Hachi and Nana are two best friends. They will help each other to solve their problem, love and career.

But somehow, when our best friend’s falling in love with someone, we will also feel that we are being abandoned.



I rate it 3 stars.

If you tired watching animes which characters have super ability or super personality, I think you should watch this anime.

Japanese Music

L'Arc~en~Ciel, X-Japan, Yellow Monkey, Siam Shade, Utada Hikaru, Younha, BoA, T.M. Revolution, Gackt, Nightmare, YUI, Home Made Kazoku, FLOW, Orange Range, etc

I'm crazy for japanese music (J-Rock, J-Pop, and the other J-).

I myself almost always listen to japanese music instead of my country music (but I listen it too).

Somehow, japanese music is just too addicting. I don't know how, I don't think like japanese, I can't speak japanese (but sometimes I could understand the meaning of some sentence because I watch anime a lot), but I'm still in love with japanese music.




It's all because of anime. I always watch anime, and I'm in love with it. In every anime there are always opening and ending song. Because I am fan of the anime, I search for those songs on the internet.

Then because I like the song, I search for another song that sung by the same artist.

I'm now in love with the artists.

for example, I love Rurouni Kenshin. I like the ending song titled "La 4th avenue Cafe". L'Arc~en~Ciel sing that song. I also like Great Teacher Onizuka, the opening song titled "Driver's High", Laruku (another name of L'Arc~en~Ciel) sing that song too. So I searched every song sung by Laruku. Then I'm now fan of Laruku.

Because I love Laruku, I also become a fan of Hyde 666 (the vocalist of Laruku) and Tetsu69 (the bassist of Laruku), who make their own solo album.

I think it's not strange for anime fan to like japanese music too.

That is why J-Music is now so popular, besides the other things that make it popular.

Death Note Movie Live Action

Now I think it’s not so bad to give you an anime related movie. Sometimes there are the non-animated movies versions for great animes that have great story and the story has completed.

First movie I want to share, Death Note.

While the anime version is incredible and worth masterpiece, the movie version is worth trash.



So if you haven’t watched the anime version, PLEASE DON’T WATCH THIS MOVIE.

But if you have watched the anime version, I still think it’s worthless but I won’t stop you.

Actually, the story is a bit different:

-Light never win
-There is no Yotsuba Group.
-There is no Mello, and Near.


Why does Death Note movie suck?

-The act. The actors just too stupid to act.. At least they don't fit with their characters. (Light should be more evil with eyes of power and justice, L should have more leadership, etc). But Matsuda's actor is great :P

-They cut the timeline. It just makes it worse.

-It's anime-wannabe

-The sequel isn't even better

-It’s lack of analysis.

-Nothing’s smart with their trick.

So I tell you guys:

Watch the anime! Then read the manga!

But never watch the movie!

Death Note TV Special: 3 Hours Director's Cut

We know that Death Note is completed already (you can download it on VIZ ( http://deathnote.viz.com/ )), but the ending is a little bit different from the manga (with Near as the third L, Roger as Watari, and Matsuda's theory (that near uses death note to control mikami action, etc)).

The good news is, there will be Death Note TV Special, mainly, it would tell about confrontation between Light and L (the first), but with the perspective of Ryuk.

The bad news is,, I think none of untold stories would be there. Yes, I think it would be like Death Note 26th episode (which tells about Kira's case's investigation summary with the perspective of L).

yeah, we will see, what that 3 hours director's cut would be^^

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni

This time is a psycho one. How can an anime be psycho? Imagine that there are cute little girls (about 6-12 years old). You know all of them. You play with them everyday. Imagine that you are new guy on that village, and you hear about some fishy rumors and you end up with suspecting your friends. Imagine that since the day you suspecting your friends, they always bring a HUGE knife, but they said that they still want to be your friends and don’t want to lose you, while they’re STILL carrying the knife. Imagine that you could be stabbed from your back anytime.


And then, imagine that you kill them by smashing their head with baseball stick!

Synopsis:

Maebara Keichi is a new boy in a village called Hinamizawa. Keichi is just an ordinary boy, he used to using his free time with his friends at the club.

The club’s member:

-Ryuugu Rena. She is actually also a transfer student. She’s transferred because she causes an incident by breaking the entire windows in her school. But she seems to have a caring personality.

-Sonozaki Mion. She is a member of the ruler family of the village. Therefore she supervises and takes care everything happened in the village. She is actually tomboy.

-Furude Rika. She is younger than Keichi. She is a member of the priest family. She is just so cute, but sometimes she is like another person, saying something deep and mysterious.

-Houjou Satoko. She is Rika’s classmate. She is a naughty cheerful girl. But it seems she had some incident regarding his brother, Satoshi.

One day, Keichi figures out that there was an incident in that village. A man was mutilated, but his friends don’t tell him the truth about it. And there is also a curse by Oyashiro-sama, which curses everybody who leaves the village. And every year there is always some people who are spirited away during the Watanagashi.

Keichi is very confused, because his friends are definitely hiding something. Then a police officer comes to him, and asking for information regarding the incident and the curse. He also tells Keichi about the background of his friends, and tells him to be careful.

That makes Keichi scared and cautious. He started to suspect his friends, and put the worst scenario that he would be killed. So he should gather information, and keep himself safe.

I rate this anime 3.5 stars.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni is an anime with new genre, because it mixed loli anime with thriller.

This anime will end by 4 episodes, but it will start all over again with the same setting, the same time line, the same character, but with a different scenario. When we watch this anime, we should gather information and think about the fact so that we know the truth of that village’s history and about oyashiro-sama’s curse.

Sorry that I couldn’t give you much synopsis, because it will end up as a spoiler. But this is a great anime. Watching it makes me fall into the darkness. It breaks my heart seeing that cute girls to be cold blood killers or victims.

Lovely Complex

Lately I have been watching this anime. Somehow I just love drama comedy anime like Honey & Clover, Ouran High School Host Club, and this one, Lovely Complex.


Synopsis:

Koizumi Risa is a very tall girl. She is always having bad luck with love because her height. She hadn’t gone for a date in her life. One day, she should take the summer class because she was dozing off on the ceremony. On the summer class she saw a boy named Suzuki. He is taller than she is. She is fallen for him instantly.

Reading her feeling, a boy named Ootani Atsushi comes to her and offers her a deal to fix Koizumi and Suzuki but she should fix Ootani and Tanaka, the girl Ootani likes. Ootani is actually Koizumi’s biggest enemy. They always fight over small things.

Contrary to Koizumi, Ootani is very short. He is always called as midget. He is quite popular actually, but he seems to have problem with love too.

So they all go to the pool, but they haven’t succeeded because of their height. But they haven’t given up. They make a bet who will find a girl/boyfriend first.

Although Koizumi and Ootani always fight over small things, they are actually best friends because of their personality. But that friendship could be love.



I rate it 2 stars.

I like this anime because I love to see how could they fall in love, and see how their height could be a problem (because I don’t have problem with my height^^)
